TO EL DORADO/ TACARIGUA

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in the El Dorado/ Tacarigua area served by the Caura Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to silted raw water intake, following heavy rainfall on Saturday 19th September, 2020.

Desilting works currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday 20th September, 2020.

Areas affected include:

  • Tacarigua from Richard Street to Dixon Street, inclusive of side streets
  • Paradise Gardens East and West
  • Vista Heights
  • Crown Street
  • Caura Royal Road
  • El Dorado Gardens
  • Goya Street
  • Eastern Main Road
  • Madoo Hill, College Road
  • El Dorado Road
  • Balgobin Street

Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.
