SUPPLY DISRUPTION

TO PORT OF SPAIN AND ENVIRONS

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Port of Spain and environs served by the El Socorro Booster Station, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to mechanical problems being experienced at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 10:00 p.m. today - Tuesday 19th January, 2021.

Areas to be affected include:

  • East Dry River
  • Morvant
  • Barataria
  • Old St. Joseph Road
  • Picton
  • Belmont
  • Parts of West Moorings
  • Cascade
  • St. Anns
  • St. James
  • Woodbrook
  • Port of Spain
  • St. Barbs

Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations of the plant, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.

For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426. A limited truck-borne water service will be available with priority given to special homes, health care and educational institutions.
