SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY
PUMP TRACE BOOSTER STATION

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Belmont and Laventille served by the Pump Trace Booster Station experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to mechanical problems affecting the facility.

Repair work currently underway is expected to be completed by 9:00 p.m. on Saturday 23rd January, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • China Town
  • Upper St. Francois Valley Road
  • St. Barbs
  • Beecham Cocoa
  • Sogren Trace
  • Ovid Alley

Customers are advised that following the resumption of operations at the facility, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas.

For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426. A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.
