The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant of a disruption in their water supply from 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday 26th January, 2021 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday 27th January, 2021.

This has become necessary in order to carry out emergency repairs to a leaking 24 inch transmission pipeline, along the Eastern Main Road, Wallerfield, in the vicinity of the “Double Bridge”.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Arima
  • Malabar Phase 2
  • Samaroo Village
  • Red Hill
  • Cleaver Road
  • La Resource
  • Arouca
  • Bon Air Gardens
  • Eastern Main Road from Olton Road to Dickson Street
  • Valencia
  • O’Meara Road
  • Bregon Park
  • Arima Old Road
  • Lillian Heights
  • La Floressant
  • Bon Air West
  • Lopinot Road

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the facility returns to operation.

A limited truck borne service will be available to affected customers, with priority to Health Institutions, Government Agencies and Homes for the Aged. For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA's Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
