The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of South West Trinidad, served by the South Oropouche Booster Station, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to a leak on the 36 inch diameter trunk pipeline, located at Southern Main Road, South Oropouche Junction, La Romaine.

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 12:00 midnight on Tuesday 9th February, 2021.

This has become necessary in order to replace a leaking section of 16-inch diameter pipeline at Railway Road, off Dades Road, Rio Claro.

  • Sunress Road
  • Siparia
  • Otaheite
  • Fyzabad
  • Pluck Road
  • Syne Village
  • Lowkie
  • Murderer Hill
  • SS Erin Road
  • Dow Village
  • Avocat
  • De Gannes Village
  • La Brea Trace
  • Mora Dam
  • Charlo Village
  • Quarry Village
  • Rock Road from Penal Junction to Debidial Junction

Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the facility returns to operation.

A limited truck borne service will be available to affected customers, with priority to Health Institutions, Government Agencies and Homes for the Aged. For further information or assistance, customers can also contact WASA's Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
