The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of the Laventille/ Belmont area served by the Picton #2 Booster Station, who are still experiencing an interruption in their water supply that, there has been an unforeseen delay in the competition of mechanical repairs at the facility.

The station is currently operating at 50% capacity, however this would not allow for a return of supply to all affected areas. The completion of repairs and full restoration of service is expected by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday 18th February, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • Upper Picton Road
  • Despers Drive
  • Quarry Street
  • Laventille Road
  • Upper St. Francois Valley Road
  • Layan Hill
  • Durant Street
  • Belle Eau Road
  • Red Hill
  • Upper Prizgar Lands
  • Richardson Lane
  • St. John Street
  • Upper St. Barbs
  • Upper Belmont Valley Road
  • China Town
  • Mc Kai Road
  • Gonzales
  • Pump Trace

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the facility returns to operation.
