The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North West Trinidad, served by the El Socorro Booster Station that there will be a disruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday March 25th, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to carry out emergency repairs to a leaking 21 inch diameter transmission pipeline located along the Diego Martin Highway, Cocorite.

Areas affected include:

  • Westmoorings
  • Fort George Road
  • St James
  • Cocorite
  • Powder Magazine
  • Woodbrook

The Authority also advises customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Hermitage Booster Station who are experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to a defective 12 inch diameter valve impacting operations at the facility.

Emergency repair works are expected to be completed by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday March 25th, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • Forres Park
  • Soledad Road
  • Macaulay
  • Bagitola
  • St. John's Road
  • Spring Vale
  • Union Village
  • Caratal
  • Cedar Hill Road
  • Southern Main Road from Pranz Gardens to Plaisance Park.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas, following the completion of these repair works.
