The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in the St. James/ Cocorite area who are experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to a damaged 16 inch diameter pipeline, along the Diego Martin Highway.

The pipeline was damaged pipeline by China Railway Construction Company while carrying out excavation work along the Diego Martin Highway. Repairs by the Authority are expected to be completed by 12:00 midnight on Friday April 2, 2021.

Areas affected include:

  • St James
  • Cocorite
  • Powder Magazine
  • Westmoorings and environs.

It should be noted that this disruption follows the completion of repairs to the 21 inch diameter pipeline along the Diego Martin Highway which affected the pipeborne water supply to the same areas identified above.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repair works.
