The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant that, the completion of emergency mechanical repair works ongoing at the facility have been extended to 12:00 noon on Tuesday April 27, 2021.

This situation has led to reduced production at the plant, which will continue to impact the reliability of supply to customers at elevated and extremities of the pipeline distribution system in the following areas:

Areas affected include:

  • Tableland
  • Tabaquite Road
  • Mafeking
  • Bristol
  • Plum Mitan
  • 5th Company
  • Princes Town
  • Hindustan
  • Whiteland
  • Piparo
  • Iere Village
  • Sisters Road
  • Williamsville
  • Bronte
  • Rio Claro
  • Mayaro
  • Union
  • Biche
  • New Grant
  • St. Julien
  • Indian Walk
  • St. Mary’s Village Moruga
  • Poonah
  • Manahambre
  • Brothers Road
  • Buen Intento
  • Barrackpore
  • Borde Narve
  • Penal Rock Road.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of the works. A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request.

In a separate matter, customers in parts of Maraval are advised that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Sunday April 25, 2021, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

This is in order to carryout emergency repair works to a ruptured 27 inch diameter transmission pipeline at the corner of Saddle Road and Cupen Road, Maraval.

The affected areas include:

  • Federation Park
  • Boissiere No. 1
  • St Clair
  • Saddle Road from Anderson Drive to Cotton Hill Road
