SERVICE DISRUPTION TO CUTOMERS SERVED BY THE NORTH OROPOUCHE WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority, (the Authority), advises that customers in parts of North East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, will have their service interrupted as the Authority conducts emergency cleaning and desilting works at the raw water sump at the Plant, on Thursday 8th December 2022 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

AFFECTED AREAS EXPECTED RESTORATION OF SERVICE
The of town Sangre Grande and environs inclusive of Guaico Tamana Road, Sangre Chiquito and Toco Road. Cumuto, Wallerfield, Tumpuna Road, Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4, Brazil Village, La Horquetta, Carapo, O’Meara Road (inclusive of Industrial Estate), Mausica Road (North & South), Maloney Gardens, Five Rivers, Bon Air West, Oropune Village, Piarco, Manzanilla and environs 4:00 p.m. Thursday 8 th December, 2022

Customers are further advised that upon completion of these works, it may take up to 48 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with established supply schedules.

A limited truck borne service will be available upon request. This can be requested through the following self-service options:

  • Use of the mobile WASA Services App which can be downloaded for Android mobile customers from the Play Store or iPhone mobile customers from the Apple store.
  • Use of the Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.

  • Alternatively, customers requiring direct assistance or further information can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
