The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority), advises that maintenance works are
well underway on the sewerage pipeline between Beetham Gardens and the HDC
Development at St. Joseph’s Old Road.
The works which began on 12 th December 2022, saw challenges in the form an intrusion
of debris into the underground manhole. As at today, Thursday 15th December 2022,
works are continuing with complete clearance of the manhole anticipated by this evening.
Completion of this exercise will significantly reduce the flows in the area and then allow
detailed sanitization of the HDC building and affected areas along the Eastern Main Road.
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution when approaching the jobsite, and to obey
the instructions of Traffic Control Officers on duty.
