SERVICE DISRUPTION

TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE ARIPO WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority), advises customers served by the Aripo Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that this is due to a ruptured 16” raw water pipeline at the facility.

Emergency repair works have been hampered by inclement weather today, Tuesday 7th February 2023, which delayed the repairs. It is expected that these repair works will be completed by 12:00 noon on Wednesday 8th February, 2023.

Areas to be affected include:

Santa Rosa Heights, Tumpuna Road Malabar from Henri Street to Malabar Branch Road, Tractor Pool Road, Pinto Road, Train Line, KP Lands Valencia, La Plata Valencia, Silica Road, Valencia 12:00 noon Wednesday 8th February 2023.

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules, following the completion of these repairs.

A limited truck-borne service will be available upon request which can be made through the following self-service options:

  • WASA Services App available via the Play Store or Apple store; or
  • Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.
