UPDATE:

SERVICE DISRUPTION TO CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE ARIPO WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority), advises customers served by the Aripo Water Treatment Plant, that there has been a delay in the completion of repairs to a ruptured 16” raw water pipeline at the facility. This delay has been caused by the unstable terrain in the area of the jobsite, which requires additional specialized equipment, in order to safely carry out the repairs.

WASA crews are working around the clock and are now expected to complete these emergency works by 12:00 noon Thursday 9th February 2023.

Areas to be affected include:

Santa Rosa Heights, Tumpuna Road Malabar from Henri Street to Malabar Branch Road, Tractor Pool Road, Pinto Road, Train Line, KP Lands Valencia, La Plata Valencia, Silica Road, Valencia 12:00 noon Thursday 9th February 2023.

Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules, following the completion of these repairs.

A limited truck-borne service will be available upon request which can be made through the following self-service options:

  • WASA Services App available via the Play Store or Apple store; or
  • Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.
