CONTRACTOR SAFETY

WASA employs many contractors to conduct work on its behalf and ensures that our contractor safety policy is adhered to so that the public and workers are not placed at risk.

Thorough background checks are conducted and contractors are required to provide the Authority with information on the qualification of their workers as well as their track record for safety in previous jobs. Once structural or demolition works is planned, a detailed method statement outlining how they intend to proceed, is required. Nothing is left to chance!
