CORPORATE GOVERNANCE STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATIONS

The Water and Sewerage Authority participated in two (2) Corporate Governance stakeholder sessions in June and September 2016.

On June 23rd, 2016, the Water and Sewerage Authority participated; at the mission on 4th Floor Conference Room, Ministry of Public Utilities on Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Mission—In Collaboration with the Ministry Of Public Utilities on WASA Modernisation and Wastewater Infrastructure Rehabilitation. The context of the presentation included:

  • Overview of Corporate Governance Project;
  • Status of Corporate Governance Project;
  • Corporate Governance Project Recommendation.

On September 21st, 2016, the Water and Sewerage Authority co-hosted a One-Day Working Session; at One Alexandra Place, # 2 Elizabeth Street, St. Clair.
1. Stakeholder Engagement Workshop on the Corporate Governance of the Water and Sewerage Authority: A working session of Permanent Secretaries and technocrats from the vertically integrated state agencies influencing the Water and Wastewater Sector. These include:

  • Ministry of Public Utilities
  • Ministry of Planning
  • Ministry of Finance
  • Ministry of Rural Development and Local Development
  • Regulated Industries Commission (RIC)
  • Environmental Management Authority (EMA)
  • Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

The context of the presentation included:
